Li Shuji (1943) is from Dalian, Liaoning Province. He started his artistic training in 1963 at the Lu Xun Art Academy, from which he graduated in 1968. He was assigned to work in the Liaoning Provincial Art Creation Group. For a long time, he was a member of the Oil Painting Department of the Liaoning Art Academy. Since 1989, he has been active in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and European countries, engaged in cultural exchanges, oil painting creation and research. He is now living in Singapore and Indonesia.

Li is known for his oil paintings. He collaborated with Guo Changxin.
