Li Tianxin (1924-2008) was born in Zhenhai, Zhejiang Province. Born into a family of senior intellectuals, he went to Shanghai Daxia University (now East China Normal University) to study in the Department of Civil Engineering in 1948. After the founding of the PRC, he was engaged in comic book creation for a long time. He published more than 20,000 comic strips in his life.
