Liu Xiqi (1948) was born in Anfu, Jiangxi Province. Although he received no formal art training, he worked as a designer for a dance troupe in Jiangxi. He now works as art editor with the Jiangxi People's Publishing House.
Liu specializes in New Year pictures. Some of them have been included in national collections.
