Li Wanchun (1942) was a native of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In 1965, he graduated from the Painting Department of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts with a major in Chinese painting. He worked in the Cultural Department of the Political Department of the Yunnan Military Region, the Chengdu Repair Factory of the Ministry of Water and Electricity, and the Art Photography Department of the Chengdu Mass Art Museum.
