Li Zemin was born in Xianghe, Hebei Province, in 1941 and now lives in Beijing. He graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1967. He is currently a professor of Hebei University of Engineering, member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Chinese Gongbi Painting Society, and a director of the Hebei Chinese Painting Research Association. A number of his New Year paintings and Chinese paintings were published by Hebei Meishu Publishing House.
