Man Da (1930), of Mongolian ethnicity, was from Zhelimu League, Inner Mongolia. In 1948, he studied in the Fine Arts Department of  the Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Arts, and in 1959, he graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has successively served as editor of the Inner Mongolia Pictorial (内蒙古画报), and as a lecturer and associate professor of Inner Mongolia Normal University, etc.

Man was known for his Chinese paintings.
