Ren Jixue (任继学)

Ren Jixue (1933) was born in Chengde, Hebei Province. He graduated from the Drawing Department of the Central Art Academy in 1954 and went to work for the Beijing Municipal Public Security Department and for the Creative Office of the Political Department of the Public Security Troops, creating art in his spare time. In 1963, he transferred to the Yixian Cultural Office in Hebei Province. He moved on to Anhui Province in 1979. Ren is known for his wood block prints and wood carvings. His block print "Hit the Scoundrel" has been included in the collection of the China Art Museum.
