Shen Daci (1933, Shanghai) graduated from the Drawing Department of the Shanghai Branch of the Central Art Academy in 1954 and worked as an artist in the Hubei Provincial Mass Art Institute and as an editor with the Hebei Daily (河北日报, Hebei ribao). She transferred to the Yanliuqing Print Publishing House (Tianjin) in 1973, where she worked as a researcher and artist.

Ms. Shen specializes in New Year pictures, and has received awards for her work.
