Shen Shen (1922-2002) was from Faku, Liaoning Province. From an early age, Shen worked in industrial and stage design. In 1945, he became a staff member of the Faku District People's Education Center and a year later, he became a teacher at the Faku Middle School. After 1950, he worked at the publisher of the Northeast Illustrated (Dongbei huabaoshe, 东北画报上) and the Liaoning Fine Arts Publishing House.

Shen was known for his New Year prints, Chinese painting and serial cartoons.
