Shi Shiming (1935) was born in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. In 1956, he served as Art Editor of the Changzhou Daily (常州日报). He designed the Changzhou Industrial Exhibition Hall in 1961. From 1962, he served as the principal of the amateur art school  of the Changzhou Workers’ Cultural Palace. In 1963-1965, he studied at the Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute. Shi retired in 1994.
