Song Guangsen (宋光森)

songguangsenSong Guangsen (1942) was born in Wanjing (now Wanru District, Chongqing), Sichuan Province. He studied at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and joined the People's Liberation Army in 1961. He engaged in propaganda and cultural work in the army. He began to publish art works in 1962, and his printmaking had a great influence. In 1975, he worked as an art editor in the Beijing Publishing House. He served as the director of the art editorial department of the Beijing Publishing House, the deputy director of the binding art editorial department, and as an art consultant of the Chongqing Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association.

Song Guangsen focuses on painting horses and is good at landscapes and figures.
