Sun Quan (1942) was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. She graduated from the Central Art Academy in 1966. In 1973, she was assigned to the People's Fine Arts Publishing House, where she is still active.

Ms. Sun is specialized in Chinese figurative painting. She has also published cartoon books.
