Wang Chengyi (汪诚仪)

Wang Chengyi (1930-2023) was from Shexian County, Anhui Province. In 1954, he graduated from the Painting Department of the East China Branch of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and stayed on as a teacher. In 1955, he was selected by the academy to enter the oil painting training class of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and studied oil painting under the guidance of the famous Soviet painter Konstantin M. Maksimov. In 1981, he was responsible for the teaching and research of the second studio of the Oil Painting Department of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, where he was a professor. In 1986, he went to Europe for a painting exhibition in Paris International Art City.
