Wang Liguo (1948), originally named Wang Liming (王梨名), hails from Zhejiang. After graduating from the Shanghai Datong Middle School in 1968, he successively served as the art editor of Liberation Daily (解放日报) and the general manager of the newspaper's Shanghai Technology Advertising Company.

Wang is known for his oil paintings.
