Wang Shaoji (1944-2015) was a native of Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. Since 1962, he was taught by Pan Tianshou's disciples Wu Yongliang, Ye Yuchang, and Wang Dehui. His main focus was on figure painting. In 1979, he was one of the founders of the art major of the Wenzhou Technical School. For more than 30 years, he has worked with his professional colleagues to train a large number of middle-level art professionals for Wenzhou and regional counties (cities). He exhibited widely, and his works have been collected at home and abroad.
