Wang Zhenyu (1946) was a native of Jilin Province. In 1968, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Liaoning Art Normal University, and in 1981, he graduated from the Oil Painting Advanced Class of the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. He used to be an art cadre, stage design designer, and an artist at the Fushun People's Cinema.

Wang is good in oil painting.
