Wei Zixi - 魏紫熙 (1915-2002) was from Suiping, Henan province. Attended Henan Art Teachers' School in Kaifeng, in 1931 and began to study the works of Wang Shigu, Ma Yuan and Xia Gui. Lecturer at Henan University, and elected Secretary-General of the Henan Provincial Art Association, from 1947. Director of the Art Dept at Xuchang Normal School in Lanxi, Zhejiang Province from 1948. Moved toNanjing in 1949. Participated in the preparatory work for the establishment of the National Painting Institute of Jiangsu Province, from 1957.
