Wu Delong (1928) was from Dongyang, Zhejiang Province. In 1953, he graduated from the Painting Department of the East China Branch of the Central Academy of Fine Arts; he stayed in the postgraduate class for further studies and taught for 35 years before retiring.

Wu is known for calligraphy, watercolor painting and gouache painting.
