Wu Shouming (1938) was born in Luanxian, Hebei Province. After he graduated from the Teaching Department of the Tianjin Hebei Art Academy in 1961, he worked as an editor for Hebei Fine Arts (Hebei meishu, 河北美术), the Hebei People's Publishing House and the Hebei People's Fine Arts Publishing House. Currently, he is an advisor to the Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House.

Wu has been active as a landscape painter and as a calligrapher. He is also known for his Chinese paintings.
