Wu Zhenquan (1935) was born in Taishan, Guangdong Province. He graduated from the Hubei University of Arts in 1961 and stayed on as a teacher. In 1965, he was an artist in the oil painting office of the Hubei Academy of Fine Arts and a member of the Environmental Art Research Institute.

Wu is good at oil painting and mural painting.
