Xie Sen (1953) was born in Hexian, Guangxi Province. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Guangxi Academy of Fine Arts in 1976, and further studied at the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts from 1979 to 1980. In 1987, he studied in the oil painting materials and techniques class of French experts at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

Xie is known for his oil paintings.
