Ya Ming (亚明)

Ya Ming (1924-2002), born in Hefei, Anhui Province, graduated from the Huainan Academy of Fine Arts in 1941. He joined the revolution early on, and served as a journalist, art editor, and editor-in-chief of a number of pictorials. Ya was good at both figure and landscape paintings, and has exhibited at home and abroad. He served as a member of the executive council of the Chinese Artists Association and as professor at Nanjing University.
