Yang Yuhua (1930) was originally from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Ms. Yang graduated from the Painting Department of the Nanjing University of the Arts in 1955. The year after graduation, she won the second prize of the National Youth Art Exhibition for two watercolor portraits she painted. She later worked in the Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, the Jiangxi People’s Publishing House, and the Shanghai Second Military Medical University.

Ms. Yang excells in oil paintings, watercolors, New Year pictures, comics, propaganda posters and other types of paintings.
