Yuan Hui (1934) born in Qingdao, Shandong Province. He graduated from the Shandong Art School in 1962. Later, he worked as an art creator at the Linyi Regional Art Museum in Shandong. In 1977, he was appointed as the art editor of Dazhong Daily (大众日报). In 1982, he studied in the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
