Yu Xuexin (1929-1980), a member of the Manchu nationality, was from Beijing. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1953. He was an associate professor in the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University.

Yu was good at oil painting and watercolor painting.
