Zhang Guanzhe (1947) is from Tailai, Heilongjiang Province. He started his schooling in the Art Training Section of Inner Mongolia Normal University in 1963. From 1969 onward, he worked in a number of cultural centres with Inner Mongolian Banners. In 1979, he transferred to the Heilongjiang Art Academy.

Zhang's works include figurative paintings, bird-and-flower paintings and landscape paintings.
