Zhang Huimin (1936) is from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. In 1960, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Northwest Art Training School. He now teaches in the Oil Painting Department of the Xi'an Art Academy.

Zhang has received a number of awards for his oil paintings, some of which have been included in national collections.
