Zhang Jianzhong (1937-2002) was from Kunming, Yunnan Province. In 1959, he graduated from the High School Attached to the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, and in 1964, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Fine Arts Department of the Yunnan Academy of Arts. Zhang has won many international and national awards. He was a well-known Yunnan artist both at home and abroad. His oil painting creations made important contributions to the prosperity and development of the oil painting industry in Yunnan. Zhang Jianzhong has created a large number of paintings with unique style, exquisite pictures and meaningful artistic conception, which were well received by domestic and foreign experts, collectors and ordinary audiences. His works have been selected for many provincial, national and international art exhibitions and won various awards.
