Zhang Xueyin (1937) was born in Ru'nan, Henan Province. In 1955, she graduated from the Kaifeng Normal Art College in Henan Province. Two years later, she entered the Xi'an Art Training School, and after her graduation in 1960, she took up teaching. She now is associate professor with the Department of Industrial Art of the Xi'an Art Academy.

Ms. Zhang is known for her watercolors, a number of which have been included in the collection of the China Art Gallery.
