Zhu Xu (1937) was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. He studied in the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Normal University. He has studied Chinese and Western painting. In 1971, he was transferred to the Yangzhou Chinese Painting Academy as a creator and senior painter; later, he became the Chinese consultant of the International Culture and Art Center in New York.
