Zuo Guoshun (1945) was born in Luohe City, Henan Province. He was obsessed with painting when he was young. In middle school, he began to learn painting from the painter of the Luohe Cinema at that time, and gradually became a well-known young painter. Later, he went to study in the painting class run by the Municipal Cultural Palace. As an adult, Zuo Guoshun was recruited to work in the Luohe Railway Department because of his excellent painting skills. In 1969, he was transferred to the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau until his retirement in 2005.

His oil paintings are often selected for national, provincial, and Ministry of Railways art exhibitions and competitions, and have won many awards.
