Yang Xiaodong (1925), also known as Yang Daibo (杨代伯), was born in Zigong, Sichuan Province. He successively served as an advertising art designer, art creator of the Southwest Health and Educational Supplies Manufacturing Institute, art creator of the Southwest Epidemic Prevention Brigade in Yunnan, and chief technician of health education at the Yunnan Provincial Institute of Epidemic Prevention and Control. 

Yang was known for printmaking and Chinese paintings.
