Han Min (1929-2022) was from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Despite the fact that he received no formal art training, he was employed at the Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House (Shanghai renmin meishu chubanshe, 上海人民美术出版社) from 1952 on. Han was a member of the Shanghai Artists Association, and of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Han was mainly known for his comic strips.
