Jiang Baoxing (姜宝星)

jiangbaoxingJiang Baoxing (1932-1994) hailed from Shandong Province. As a youngster, he joined the People's Liberation Army. After sustaining an injury during the Civil War, he studied painting at the Central Art Academy in Beijing. After graduation, Jiang served for most of his life as an art instructor and head of propaganda at the Qingdao Workers' Cultural Palace in Qingdao, Shandong Province. In 1992, he became head of the Qingdao Oil Painting Institute.

Jiang collaborated with Dou Shikui and Xiang Weiren. He specializes in oil painting and murals.
