Jin Qingjin (1959) is from Yuncheng, Shandong Province. After he joined the People's Liberation Army in 1974, he started his artistic career. He went to the Arts Department of the Shandong Normal University in 1978, and returned to his army duties after graduation in 1982. He transferred to civilian life in 1986, when he took up a teaching position at the Arts Department of the Heze Normal Training School in Shandong Province.

Jin is best known for his oil paintings, some of which have been included in the collection of the China Art Gallery. In a number of cases, Jin has collaborated with Qin Dahu.
