Lin Zhen (1943) is from Dalian, Liaoning Province. He graduated from the Industrial Arts Department of the Lu Xun 鲁迅 Art Academy in 1968. Subsequently, he was employed in the editorial department of the Liaoning Fine Arts Publishing House. He currently works in the editorial office of the Liaoning Huabao [辽宁画报, Liaoning Illustrated].

Lin specializes in New Year pictures and propaganda painting.
