Li Yusheng (李玉生)

Li Yusheng (1948) was born in Zibo, Shandong Province. In 1968, he graduated as an industrial designer from the Shandong Provincial Art College. He was sent to work with the Yantai Municipal Opera Troupe, where he was engaged in stage design. In 1971, he joined the People's Liberation Army, climbing to the rank of platoon leader and cultural worker. He transferred to the Shandong Military Region in 1987, taking up stage design for the Vanguard Song and Dance Troupe.

Aside from stage designs, Li is known for his oil paintings, some of which have been included in the collection of the China Art Gallery. He collaborated with Qin Dahu.
