Li Zhiguo was born in Tianjin in 1946. He is a national first-class artist, member of the China Artists Association, and director of the Tianjin Artists Association.

Since the 1980s, he has mainly created meticulous, heavy-color and colored ink paintings. His works have been exhibited in Japan, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia and other countries, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong.
