Lu Ran (鲁然)

luranLu Ran (1934-2008), from Laizhou, Shandong Province, was one of the pseudonyms of Cui Hui (崔辉). He was known for his Chinese flower-and-bird paintings. In 1990, at the invitation of Ngapoi Ngawang Jigme, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, he painted the "Eagle Picture" (雄鹰图) for the Tibet Hall of the Great Hall of the People. Before his death, he was a librarian of the Shandong Provincial Museum of Culture and History, and a consultant of the Confucius Hometown Painting and Calligraphy Academy.
