Mo Shuzi (1941) was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Normal University in 1965. From 1965 to 1974, he was engaged in art education. In 1974, he was transferred to the Creative Office of the Cultural Bureau of Changzhou City to engage in fine art creation. His realistic works have been published in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and other provincial publishing houses.

In 1980, he participated in the preparation of the Changzhou Academy of Painting and Calligraphy and became a full-time painter of Chinese paintings. His works were selected for major exhibitions and have also been collected by many art galleries and museums.
