Pang Yipeng (1901-1998) was from Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was drawing and painting as a child already, and the illustrations in books and magazines from the USA in the library of his middle school From 1928 on, he headed the Advertising Art Section of the Huasheng Company and advised many other advertising agencies. After the founding of the People's Republic, he became adviser on propaganda art directed abroad in a section of the Export Section of the Shanghai Trade Office.
Declining eyesight ended his career in the 1960s. Pang moved to the USA in 1979. His son Pang Ka also is a known designer of propaganda posters.
