Shao Hua (1929-1998) was born in Yichang, Hubei Province. He worked in the Cultural Department of the Artillery of the People's Liberation Army, in the Qinghai Provincial Mass Art Institute, and as editor of the Qinghai Daily (青海日报, Qinghai ribao).

Shao was known for his Chinese paintings and blockprints.
