Sun Guocheng (1945) was born in Linwu, Hunan Province. He worked as an artist in a porcelain factory, and the Shaoshan Mao Zedong Memorial Hall. He is currently the deputy curator and deputy research librarian of the Mass Art Museum of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province.

Sun is good in Chinese painting. His "Reporting to Chairman Mao" is considered as one of his major works.
