Zhang Lingzhi (1927), from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, entered the Hangzhou National Art School in 1948 and later transferred to the Applied Arts Department of the Central Academy of Art, where she graduated in 1953.

Ms. Zhang is adept at Chinese painting.
