Zhao Songsheng (赵宋生)

Zhao Songsheng (1940-1996) was from Kusong, Sichuan Province. After his graduation as a professional Chinese painter from the Fine Arts Department of the Yunnan Art Academy in 1965, he was assigned to work in the Yuxi District Mass Fine Arts Center. In 1983, he transferred to Yuxi City to become deputy-director of the Municipal Cultural Office.

Zhao was a master of various genres, but excelled in Chinese painting, New Year pictures and comic strips. He was awarded a number of prizes and some of his works were included in the collection of the China Art Gallery.
