Mo Ruoying (1936) was from Xinjing Town, Jingxi County, Guangxi Province. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Guangxi Academy of Arts in 1962. He served as deputy curator, deputy research librarian, painter and photographer of the Mass Art Museum of Baise District.

His oil paintings, Chinese paintings, prints, and photographs were published in central and local newspapers and exhibited in Beijing, Lanzhou and elsewhere.
