Tian Zuoliang (田作良)

Tian Zuoliang (1921-1997), also known as Shi Bing (石兵), was a native of Datong, Shanxi Province. After 1936, he served as the assistant of the Anti-Japanese Sacrifice League; as Propaganda Officer of the Political Department of the Yuebei Army Division of the Eighth Route Army; as cadre of the Literature and Art Department of the Propaganda Department of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee; as Director of the Press and Publication Department of the Shanxi Provincial Culture and Education Commission; and as artist working for the Shanxi Daily (山西日报).

Tian was known for his comics and Chinese paintings.
