Li Xingtao (1943, Kaiping, Guangdong Province) graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1968. A member of the Chinese Artists Association and president of the Guangdong Studio of Painting, Li excels in traditional Chinese painting, propaganda painting and oil painting.

Li has been the recipient of many awards. He created the 1978 work 'A moment that is hard to forget', featuring Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Peng Zhen, and He Long, in collaboration with Zhang Shaocheng and Li Xingtao.
