Li Yebing (1931), also known as Li Shiren (李世任), was from Shimen Village, Jingxing County, Hebei Province (Shimen Village was originally under the jurisdiction of Pingding County, Shanxi Province). During the Anti-Japanese War in the 1940s, he participated in art work in the liberated areas. When he worked at the Chinese Revolution Museum in the late 1950s, he studied under Luo Gongliu, Dong Xiwen, Shi Lu, Cheng Shifa, and Guan Shanyue.
He has served as a civilian education librarian, government cadre, teacher, member of the field propaganda team, etc., and has been engaged in art creation for 70 years. Li has conducted in-depth research and practice in various art fields such as oil painting, printmaking, New Year pictures, arts and crafts, and stage art. His works have participated in many national and international exhibitions and won many awards.
