Meng Qingjiang (1937, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province) graduated in 1965 from the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Art Academy. He was assigned to the People's Fine Arts Publishing House, where he worked as a designer, writer and editor. In 1985, he became editor-in-chief of Comics Illustrated (连环画报, Lianhuan huabao).
Meng is known for his Chinese paintings and comic strips, some of which have been included in the collection of the China Art Gallery. He cooperated on poster designs with Li Jiyuan, Wang Jue and Lin Fan.
